Hey friends!
As per my commitment to you, here is my weekly update!
This past week I launched my YouTube concert series! My channel, YouTube.com/theastronautwriter, launched on Tuesday, and was met with a great response! I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who added the page, checked out the videos, and left comments! I am excited by the positive responses. This Tuesday will be the next installment, and i'm working on some fun pieces! Make sure to stop by and check out the channel, and ALSO spread the word!!! With your help, I think we can really generate some hype, which will be able to be converted into a bigger family of fans!
On the poetry front, I had a hard but productive week! I never lack for deep thought and introspection, and this week was no exception. I have been writing like crazy since January, but this week I have tried to shift gears from solely being prolific to developing as a poet. I have begun conversations with several other poets, and appreciators of poetry, and am very excited to be challenged and refined through community. I am so excited to put together a book to share with you guys, but I also want to take the time to make sure it's the best it can be.
On a brief final note, I have some new merch ready for sale! I will be posting pictures online at myspace.com/joellewolters in the photo section titled merch. I have a fresh batch of bandanas and scarves that are made of fun, colorful fabric, and hand hand stamped with the astronaut writer logo! All you have to do is shoot me a message and I can get one out to you for only six bucks!

Weekly Update!
Hey friends!
I have decide that it would be a nice idea to keep my blog updated as much as possible! Novel idea right? Haha. I figured that for as much energy as you guys invest in supporting me it would be awesome if I reciprocated that investment!
With no further adu, I would like to introduce to you my latest idea! I know that I have fans from all sorts of places and not everyone can get to shows, so I came up with a way to bring the concert to you! I created a YouTube Chanel and will be posting a weekly mini concert for your viewing pleasure!!! I could not be more excited to start up this venture, and will likely start recording tomorrow for the innagural weekly YouTube concert :)
I will take requests and would love to hear ideas about what you guys would like to see!
Another development this week is the creation of a new piece of merch! I purchased the supplies to make astronaut writer bandanas/scarfs! They will be available for sale as early as this coming week! Pictures will be posted on my myspace in the photo album titled "merch" as soon as possible!

I will be playing two times this week as a part of social justice week at nyack college! Wednesday I will be playing at a justice week worship event from 8-9, the location is tba and will be posted on my facebook page. Friday I will be playing a concert set in boon basment, details will be posted on my facebook page for this event as well! Make sure to add my music page so you will recieve all available updates!
I'm very excited for this upcoming week friends, and I can't wait to share it with you!

exciting news! and free music!
hey all!
i have had some exciting developments recently, and i wanted to share them with you!
first!
i spent this past saturday in the studio with a friend of mine, rey. he is currently a student at sae institute, studying recording. i go to lay down the better part of 3 tracks, with my brother playing drums and my mom singing harmony.
i received word from rey tonight that he is on board to help me produce a full length studio album! i already have a track listing laid out and am excited to get to work on the new album!

i have been hard at work in christie hall as a desk proctor, and during my shifts i came up with some new merch ideas. i currently have two different types of patches [$1 each] and the no rhyme or reason ep [$3 each] available for purchase! also available by custom order are astronaut writer bandanas [$5 each] and hand made bags and purses [prices vary]!

in light of the recent news of my upcoming full length album, i had a marathon recording session last night! i layed down six new demos that will be on the upcoming album, and because i love my fans so much i am going to make one available to you for free!

Because the night belongs to us!
Hey all!
This is my very first blog so I'm goin to make it short and sweet!
Tonight has been a very productive night! It started with me waking up with a new poem in my head. Occasionally an idea hits me so strongly that it literally wakes me from my sleep, and tonight was no exception!
As I headed to work, I crossed paths with some awesome friends of mine and I shared some new merch with them. They bought some on the spot, so as to offer their support for upcoming endeavors. Their support is indicitave of my close friends and community to date, and I could not be any more overwhelmed by their support. If I ever make it anywhere, it will be a direct result of my friends unending support and encouragement. It drives me to continue to grow and create as an act if gratitude.
Once at work, I got a chance to check my email, and I recieved some great news. I got word from my friend who is recording me that he is on board to help me create a full length album!!!
I could not be more excited to get to work on my first project of such depth and quality. I can't wait to make this album and offer it to my friends, family, and fans as a sign of my gratitude!
With both a book and a full length album on the horizon, and a new website just recently launched, I'm confident that many good things are to come!
