Hey friends!!!
It's that time again! Welcome to this weeks blog!
This past week was insane! Coming back from break I was exhausted, but this week provided no reprieve! From homework to chillin with friends from outta town to starting up a new intership, there was not many moment of rest. However, I have to say it was worth it.
The biggest part of the week astronaut writer wise was friday's concert. I performed at nyack college this Friday as part of a Haiti benefit concert. I cannot explain with words how amazing the concert was! Words could never do justice to the electricity in the gym as I took the stage! The crowd was fantastic from the get go, and I think most of the people present hadn't seen me perform before. I was blessed by the warm welcome I got despite being the first act of the evening. I dedicated a Chris brown/ TI cover as my first song, which got everyone on their feet. From then on everyone was hooked. People were dancing and singing and seemed to be supreme engaged.
For my final number I played a song that I wrote several years ago, but only performed recently, entitled break me down. During this song the entire gospel choir joined me in singing and gave the song a whole new dimension! I just may have to record them haha.
After my set as the astronaut writer was finished I enjoyed several airband performances as well as the musical stylings of Christian Evans and levitical sound.
Then came the last set if the evening, Ms Christina Love Lee. I performed with her as part of an impromptu band that she threw together moments before the show with the instrumentalists from levitical sound. Christina totally owned the stage for the whole set, and had the audience out of their seats and singing along. I haven't had that much fun playing with a band since the days of The Fallen. That kind of chemistry musically is uncommon, and I am still stunned by how strong it was on Friday!
This week should be more relaxed in The Astronaut Writer camp. The only thing on the slate is recording this weeks YouTube videos and working on some new songs and poems.
Feel free to hit me up with questions, comments, or suggestions for my YouTube videos! Lookin forward to hearing from you!!!

Show this friday!!!
Hello friends!
I am officially back in the yack!!! I'm not quite sure how to feel about returning for the very last part of my last semester ever... I am doing my best not to worry about what will come next.
This past week was my spring break. I stayed in NYC, and managed to hit every borough! I had so many good conversations and cups of coffee. I sang in the subway with the one and only Ms Christina Love Lee, and enjoyed every moment of it. :) let's just say, I won't be lacking good friends if I wind up living in the city.
Musically, a lot was accomplished as well. I got into the studio and put in a solid four hours laying down tracks. Playing in the studio was a fun treat, and also gave myself and my twin a chance to see how we work outside of church. I am highly optimistic for future endevors!
Another important note is the fact that.... I HAVE A SHOW THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!!! That's right, a show! This friday night, at seven o'clock I am performing at Nyack College's Haiti benefit concert. The concert will be held on the Nyack College Campus (1 south blvd nyack ny 10960) in the bowman gymnasium and it will start at seven o'clock. The proceeds will go to a credible qualified charity working towards Haitian relief efforts. Make sure to check it out :)
I will be posting new YouTube videos this week also. I apologize for the lapse this past week. I was sick, so the quality of the videos I did shoot were not as good as I wanted to present you, so I did not post what I had recorded. This week however I am back on track and looking to putting together some quality jams!
I hope all is well, and can't wait to see some familiar faces at the concert!

I'm quite confident that only approximately four people read this blog, so with that in mind, I apologize for not posting it on Monday as I usually do. I am on the move this week due to spring break! I am doing a considerable amount of time adventuring in various areas of NYC and catching up with so many people I love!
I spent some time playing tunes in the subway with my twin, one of my favorite people alive, ms Christina Love Lee!! Union station treated us well!
I will be working on posting my weekly YouTube videos this evening and will be updating my facebook shortly!
Hope this message finds you well!!!
Til next week!

Something a little different!!!
Hey all!
This week has been so full of moments that moved me. Some where good, and some were hard, but all of them have somehow shaped me.
In the midst of these moments that both gave me breath and took it away, I have found myself in a quest to develop and maintain rhythms in my life. I believe that while spontaneity is a beautiful part of life, rhythm can also bring about, or help us appreciate beauty as well.
This blog is a rhythm that I am seeking to establish in my life. Not so much as a perfunctory form meant solely to inform and advertise, but as a anchor that keeps me grounded in my craft. Writing forces me outside of my thoughts and into actions. It forces me to remember that each day is a step towards something, and that something is larger than myself...
I recognize that this may seem a bit deep in light of my past few blogs, however my ethos as an artist is centered around speaking to others from my experience, and this was my experience this week... Take it for what it's worth, but I want you to know that this is about that. My blog is tied to my artistic heartbeat, and my work is tied to those who take it in... Bear that in mind as we continue this journey...
Ok, with all that intangible and theoretical train of thought out of the way, let me convey a few tangible pieces of information...
First, I performed this past week at an open mic on campus, and it couldn't have went much better. I decided to forgo my typical musical m.o. and throw down a few pieces of poetry instead. I spit a piece by Aaron Weiss and also my piece entitled "For The Them's" and it seemed to be well received. Another step towards me being a legitimate poet. Bangin.
Second, my show in the city is being rescheduled, and I should have more information by the end of the week! Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for information.
Thirdly, I discovered a website this week that will allow me to set up streaming broadcasts!!!! Online concerts and chat sessions could be coming in the very near future!!! Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open on that front because your ideas and questions will drive my broadcasts!!!
Finally, two weeks into my YouTube concerts, it seems to be a success! I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to view the videos. My goal now is to start spreading them as much as possible, so any help would be great!!!!
Ok with all those thoughts now released from my
mind, I have some free space to rest and create. And I am going to take that opportunity.
I pray that this message finds you well and leaves you with thoughts and questions that beg for more than easy answers.
Much love,
